They do say that `Once bitten by the cacti bug there`s no known cure`and how true that is !

15 years ago I purchased my first cactus from a local garden centre and from that initial plant many more followed until all suitable window ledges in my house were full . I then found myself at the bottom of the garden erecting a greenhouse quickly followed by an extension to said greenhouse . Well you get the idea . That cacti bug is impossible to shake off ! . In particular growing plants from offsets and also from seed that I have actually collected myself gives me a great deal of satisfaction . As time`s gone on however this has put much pressure on available room in the greenhouse so one of the reasons behind `SpinyOnes` is to offer surplus plants to fellow collectors which creates space, therefore allowing me to continue with my hobby .`SpinyOnes` also gives me the opportunity to show case in words and pictures some of the plants that I have derived so much pleasure from growing and owning over the years .
